Liobagrus reinii is a species of catfish in the family Amblycipitidae (the torrent catfishes) endemic to Japan.

This species reaches a length of 9 centimetres (3.5 in).

L. reinii lives under cobbles and boulders, in bedrock crevices, and in clumps of roots of terrestrial vegetation along banks.

Dorsal spines (total): 1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-7; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 11 - 13.

Body is elongated, anteriorly depressed, posteriorly laterally compressed. Mouth has 4 pairs of barbels. Scales are not present on the body. Pectoral and dorsal fins are with spinous first ray. Adipose fins is continuous with caudal fin. Posterior margin of caudal fin is rounded.
