Lake Isabella also called Isabella Lake, is a reservoir in Kern County, California, United States created by the earthen Isabella Dam. At 11,000 acres (4,500 ha), it is one of the larger reservoirs in California.
The surface area of Lake Isabella varies depending on the water level, but it is generally considered to be around 11,000 to 12,000 hectares (approximately 27,000 to 30,000 acres) when the lake is full.
The capacity of Lake Isabella also depends on the water level. When the lake is full, its capacity is approximately 568,000 to 650,000 acre-feet (about 700 to 800 million cubic meters).
