Reka Belica nastaje spajanjem Bešnjaje i Voljavice koje izviru u brdima Crnog Vrha. Protiče kroz Belicu, pa jedna od legendi kaže da je selo dobilo ime po reci. Korito reke u delu koji protiče kroz Belicu popločano je kamenom belutkom preko koga teče biserno čista voda pa to može biti objašnjenje porekla imena reke i sela.
Reka Belica je sada u svom gornjem toku još uvek puna života. Ima potočne mrene, klena i krkuša, kao i rakova.
