The Northern straight-mouth nase (Pseudochondrostoma duriense) is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Cyprinidae. It is found in Portugal and Spain, on the Iberian Peninsula, from Douro drainage to Galicia.
Found in the middle stretches of rivers, in areas with current. Feeds on the vegetal matter, supplemented by small invertebrates and detritus. Occurs in groups, especially during pre-spawning migration. Spawns from April to June. It is threatened by habitat loss.
