The metallic shiner (Pteronotropis metallicus) is a species of ray-finned fish from North America where it lives in Atlantic and Gulf drainages from St. Marys River in Georgia and Florida, USA to New River in Florida panhandle, South in Florida to Alafia River system (Tampa Bay drainage).
Max length: 6.5 cm TL
Inhabits sand and silt-bottomed pools and runs of headwaters, creeks, and small rivers. Often found near vegetation.
