Goldspotted Sweetlips are greyish to greyish-brown with orange and blue lines on the head, small orange spots on the upper body, dorsal and caudal fins, and a dusky lower margin on the caudal fin.
Max size is up to 60 cm.
They are native to Indo-West Pacific: Red Sea south to Transkei, South Africa and east to Papua New Guinea, north to southern Japan, south to western Australia and New South Wales.
