The El Pardo reservoir is located on the mountain of the same name, within its fence. It is located in the municipality of Madrid (Spain), specifically in the district of Fuencarral-El Pardo , the largest in the city. It belongs to National Heritage, the body that manages the protected area of Monte de El Pardo. It is integrated within the Regional Park of the Upper Manzanares Basin .
The reservoir is built on the Manzanares River, and the Manina stream, one of the tributaries of this river, also flows into it. Its function is to regulate the channelling dams of the Manzanares River as it passes through the capital.
