The Orellana Reservoir is a reservoir on the Guadiana River in the province of Badajoz, Spain.
It is the largest reservoir located in the middle section of the river and is regulated by the García de Sola and Cíjara reservoirs, as well as by the Zújar and La Serena transfers. It was built as part of the Badajoz Plan, which involved the construction of several reservoirs in the area with the aim of supplying water to the irrigation systems of the province of Badajoz.
The surface area of the reservoir is 5,084 hectares, encompassing the municipalities of Orellana la Vieja, Orellana de la Sierra, Acedera, Navalvillar de Pela, Casas de Don Pedro, Talarrubias, Puebla de Alcocer, Esparragosa de Lares, and Campanario.
