Lake Sylvensteinsee is a beautiful reservoir located in the Bavarian Alps, near the border of Germany and Austria.
The lake was created in 1959 by damming the Isar River to help prevent flooding in the surrounding areas, especially Munich.
Sylvensteinsee is also a favored destination for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, swimming, and kayaking.
