Lake Vico (from the Latin Lacus Ciminus or Lacus Ciminius ) is a lake of volcanic origin in central Italy located in the province of Viterbo . It boasts the highest altitude among the large Italian lakes, with its 507 m above sea level . It is surrounded by the Cimini mountains ; in particular, the lake is surrounded by Mount Fogliano (965 m) and Mount Venere (851 m).
